If you’ve been told you should write a book but still haven't, do you know what’s stopping you?
The thought of writing a book seems to have the ability to instil equal amounts of excitement and apprehension (aka fear) in people. The problem and/or procrastination comes, when there is an equal amount of both emotion; or, your ‘fears’ about writing and publishing outweigh any enthusiasm you might feel about becoming a successful published author.
If you can tip the scales to that of excitement & passion towards writing a book, and subsequently sharing your story, wisdom, solution or inspiration, then you will get past any excuses you might make for not writing it.
Firstly, let's look at why you might not be enthused about writing a book or becoming an author:
These are simply your inner fears trying to stop you - but remember FEAR stands for False Evidence Appearing Real! So, all of these things are very easily overcome, especially when you find the Passion & Purpose for your book. If others are saying you should write a book, then the need and interest is there!
So, let's look at just a few reasons why becoming an author can be really exciting:
We are all in the business of transformation and service: so what better way to serve and assist others, than through writing a book that takes your reader on a journey from where they are now to where they want to be?
It is said that 85% of people have a really great book inside them; most never get to write it. What a shame that thousands of lives won't benefit, simply because someone was too scared to share their story or wisdom; but that’s not you, is it?
